As we enter yet another week of Lockdown, we have teamed up with Ex-Marine Anton Hudson to give you a cool variation on Home Workouts!
This is the type of circuit that you would find soldiers doing on deployments when access to equipment is not always possible (or during Lockdown).
Towel and bottle of water at the ready? It’s going to be a sweaty one!
Exercises 1-6 are to increase the heart rate and to fatigue the body simulating the constant movement in/out of cover whilst manoeuvring around the battlefield.
Exercise 7 simulates the movement of ammunition to the front or a gun line.
Exercise 8 simulates a casualty evacuation.
Exercise 7 and 8 are done last when the body is most fatigued, this is because they are vital jobs that soldiers must be able to complete even when they are exhausted. Maintaining a stream of ammunition to where it is required as well as being able to remove injured men from harms way are key.
