Kick start your new year’s fitness goals by torching your unwanted Christmas muffin top, with the ultimate abdominal burn, in a lunch-break friendly time frame. Don’t say we didn’t warn you when your first attempt leaves you curled up in the foetal position.

Round 1 (45 seconds each – max effort)

Lying oblique crunches

Lying toe touches

Plank + alternating arm extensions

30 seconds rest

Repeat round

 

Round 2 (30 seconds each – max effort)

Supine cycling

Lying leg raises

Russian twist

30 seconds rest

Repeat round

 

Round 3 (30 seconds each – max effort)

Lying flutter kick

Star plank

Sit-up

Repeat round

 

Cooldown

Hydrate, and stretch off holding each stretch for a minimum of 30 seconds.
