Chocolate Banana Protein Brownies Recipe

This fantastic recipe was sent to us via Instagram. What can we say @hannahwares has totally outdone herself here.

Nutritional Information Per Brownie:

  • 261 cals
  • 21.8g carbs
  • 12.6g fat
  • 16g protein

Recipe creates a total of 9 brownies

Ingredients:

– 150g wholemeal flour
– 100g @theproteinworks chocolate silk vegan protein powder
– 1/4 tsp baking powder
– A pinch of salt
– 30g sweetener / sugar alternative
– 3 tbsp golden syrup
– 75g coconut oil
– 3 eggs
– 1 & a 1/2 bananas
– 55g choc chips

Method: 

1. Preheat the oven to 190 or 170 for fan assisted
2. Mix the flour protein powder, baking soda, salt, sugar and stir well
3. In another bowl combine the syrup, melted coconut oil and beaten eggs
4. In another bowl mash the banana
5. Combine the wet ingredients
6. FOLD the wet mixture into the dry mixture
7. Add the choc chips
8. Grease and line a roughly 9×9 tray and pour the mixture into the tray
9. Bake for 20 minutes (dip the end of a knife into the mix and if it comes out clean-ish then the brownies are baked through… you still want them a bit gooey)
