Banana Protein Ice Cream

Banana Protein Ice Cream

Great news, this recipe pretty much confirms that you can freeze any protein or diary concoction and turn it into protein ice cream without the need for a ice cream maker!

This protein ice cream has FOUR ingredients bananas, cottage cheese, pea protein and milk! You should give this a try if you get chance!!

Ingredients:

2 bananas
1/2 tub quark or cottage cheese
A heaping scoop pea protein
Milk

Directions:

1. Blend all the ingredients together and place in freezer.

2. Take out and stir every hour for 3-4 hours

  1. Wonderfull recipe Anna!

I changed the recipe a little bit, instead of vanilla protein I used ON chocolate and some pure cacao powder. Sweetened with some 0 kcal sweetener and it’s just delicious!

Divided it in two portions, one I ate the same evening, the other one I froze for later use. However, the ice cream now is too hard. Can’t eat it 🙁

Tips or suggestions? Don’t like the idea of making the ice cream for the same evening. Rather like the idea of making it and put it in the freezer for later use.

    Thx 🙂

    • Nom nom nom! that sounds nice!!! I know what you mean that it gets hard though, not like regular ice cream that just can sit in the fridge for ages… I’m trying to solve this issue and thinking about maybe adding arrowroot? because i hear ya, I too want to have my ice cream stay!! 🙂
