The Best ‘RAW’ Whey Protein Bars in the Galaxy

The Best ‘RAW’ Whey Protein Bars in the Galaxy

Look at her. That woman with the sweatpants and the funny-looking-pig shirt, singing her lungs out like a buffoon (I think it’s Reggeaton?) It looks like she’s shaping some kind of dough into bars. Let’s just hope that dough doesn’t contain raw eggs because if it does, this scene might turn into a Salmonella tragedy. She’s smiling ear to ear and nomming like a lunatic. What’s IN that dough!? She walks over to the counter, positions what are now bars on a plate, and grabs her camera. Snap. Snap. Snap. Snap… She’s taking like a thousand pictures! And now… JESUS! She’s devouring the bars!!! I’ve never seen someone savor a bar so intensely. The woman’s on the verge of rapture here! Let’s feel her heart beat. Moses… It’s elevated. And her pupils? Dilated too. All you can hear in this house is, “MMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” The woman’s delirious with happiness here. What’s going on!? Seriously, what’s IN these bars!?

Welcome to this recipe!

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/8 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup whey protein concentrate (unflavored)
1 tablespoon coconut flour
1/8 cup goji berries
1/8 cup almond milk (or coconut, hemp, or rice milk)
1/2 tbsp toffee flavodrops (see Note 1 below for subs)

1/8 cup  chopped hazelnuts (see Note 2 below for subs)

Directions:

1. Using a handheld blender or food processor, mix the above ingredients until you get a paste.
2. Shape this paste into bars (or you could shape it into truffles too).

3. Eat.

Macros per Bar (out of 2):

200kcals
10g protein
14g carbs (out of which 5g is fiber so net carbs = 9g!)
12g fat
It’s the PERFECT balance of macros and each bar packs mad amounts of nutrition! I.e. fiber, antioxidants, magnesium, calcium, zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin A 😀

Notes

1. You can sub the toffee flavdrops with your sweetener of course. Do bear in mind though that the flavdrops are CRAZY and seriously worth getting.
2. You can sub the hazelnuts for chopped almonds or, if you want to make the bars nut-free, with coconut flakes or seeds.

PS: To make more bars, just duplicate (or triplicate) the ingredients!

PPS: Share a photo with me on FB when you make these bars so I can share it with everyone else too and push more and more people to  try these! Because they’re… crazy.
