Possibly One of the Most Ridiculously Delicious Homemade Chocolate Protein Bars Ever

This homemade chocolate protein bar recipe contains a secret ingredient, one you are probably not used to seeing in protein bars. The ingredient is… black beans. The reason they work so well is because they add moisture to the bars, as well as a lovely texture! And trust me, you’re definitely not able to taste them. Try these bars and see for yourself:

Ingredients

70g unsalted cooked black beans (canned and unsalted)
32g chocolate casein protein powder (can substitute with Vegan Wondershake)
12g ground almonds
5g whey protein powder
5g coconut flour
13g brazil nut butter
10g goji berries
2 tablespoons coconut milk

Directions

1. Mix it all up.

2. Use your hands. Make rectangles.

3. Dip them in melted 90% chocolate (23g’s worth of chocolate).

4. Freeze them for an hour or two or until your chocolate sets.

  2. Hi, awesome recipe.. I’m making these today! Hoe did you cook the black beans? I know there are different ways.

  3. Hi! No, I didn’t cook them; I bought them canned and they come already cooked so no need to cook them; just make sure they unsalted 🙂

  4. Haha I forgot to check back to see what you said about the beans.. I just cooked fresh ones! Took for ever and they were a pain to mix. lol Next time around it is canned all the way! Thanks!

  5. This recipes looks amazing but I was wondering what the conversion from grams to cups is… or are you measuring this as grams by weight. I looked in my kitchen and I have nothing that measures closely to grams in volume. Thanks for your help!
