What’s better than tucking into an entire chocolate orange? Adding it to a brownie batter, of course! So, what are you waiting for? Grab your apron and a whisk and get baking!
INGREDIENTS:
- 75g unsalted butter
- 200g dark chocolate
- 2 large eggs
- 150g caster sugar
- 1 orange, zested
- 40g Pure Fine Oats
- 20g Whey Protein (Choc Orange Swirl)
- 20g cacao powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 100g chocolate orange, cut into chunks
METHOD:
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees. Grease a square baking tin and line the base with baking powder
- Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a bowl over simmering water. Once melted, stir in the orange zest then set to one side to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, mix together the oat flour, whey protein, cacao powder and baking powder. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar.
- Once the chocolate has cooled, stir in the eggs until well combined. Then add the flour mix and stir until smooth.
- Fold through the chocolate orange chunks then pour into your baking tin.
- Bake for around 30-35 minutes, until the top is crisp but you still want the middle to be a little gooey. Allow to fully cool before cutting into 9 squares
