Im looking into Protein etc and just discovered The Protein Works site...( i know... i Know... where have you been man...get with the program.) I placed an order for a few items these Flax (linseed) being one, I read the 18.3grams of protein per serving and they recommend 10 to 20 a day as a serving... however its not stated that the blurb for the per serving is 100g to get to there 18.3g figure... Doh...
So a typical serving of 10g of seeds gives only 1.8g of protein so the 20g, needless to say would be 3.66g of protein.
Another note is the site description as obviously not in a pouch its a tub and no scoop included... think powder and tub discription a little crossed over there, Or originally camein pouches.
The product itself is good, very slight and you have to stick your nose in the tub to get the hint of linseed no bad thing unlike a bottle of linseed oil for treating wood.
Very Subdued flavour so no issues of tainting a shake etc, not much protein as mentioned but your getting good Poly-unsaturated fats, Fibre, Omega 3, Potassium, Calcium, Phosphorus, ( no i don't expect to glow in the dark or fear exploding) Magnesium, Iron, Vitamin B1 & B2. So a Little top up there.
Personally i purchased these for topping the morning Porridge along with my usual banana and often blueberries, can be used for many other things im sure and certainly make an easy finger snack simply by themselves.
Will have to look into the recipe side of these.
All in all a simple cheap healthy product to add some variety to whatever you please think ill sprinkle some on a salad next time.

These have a pleasant mild nutty flavour to them and even work well to add texture to protein desserts and mousse, I find flax a great product for providing extra fibre to aid overall digestion on my ketogenic style diet.
This is also a great product to add to DIY weight gainer protein shakes to bump up the calorie content.
They are very small seeds so i find a little goes a long way in adding overall texture and flavour to a range of protein based meals.
I will be using these in combination with the Organic Chia Seeds to add more micro nutrients and quality calories to maintain my ketogenic state and to bulk with in the off-season.
The seeds also combine well with some Cacao Nibs when making healthy home made protein bars with TPW Whey Protein 80.
