Junior NPD Technologist

Initial Description

This role is based within our head office in Runcorn. Some of your main responsibilities include;  analysing market research, sales data, competitor products, consumer trends and insights. You'll be reporting on new product opportunities based on these insights. You will be responsible for new product formulations with a view on commercialisation, nutritional benefits and approved claims. You'll also be developing relationships with external suppliers and contract manufacturers to support the NPD pipeline and support Supply Chain to minimise risk of interruptions to business.

The Role 

• Analyse market research, sales data, competitor products, consumer trends and insights.
• Report on new product opportunities based on these insights.
• New product formulation with a view on commercialisation, nutritional benefits and approved claims.
• Upscale from concept to launch effectively communicating with several departments to launch date.
• New product set up on internal systems.
• Develop relationships with external suppliers and contract manufacturers to support the NPD pipeline.
• Supply chain support to minimise risk of interruptions to business.
• Support or carry out trials on new equipment, processes, packaging or ingredients.
• Customer support on nutrition and product enquiries.

• An understanding of concept to launch development processes.

• PC literate – Microsoft Office, nutrition systems, product set up systems, etc.
• Interest in food, health & wellness, fitness or nutrition
