Our Story

Protein Works was founded in 2012 - after a year of sleepless nights and a lifetime of dreaming.

 It was built with a goal to revolutionise the world of protein and nutrition. The aim was to create genuinely innovative products that offered consumers more - and better - in terms of nutritional value and market-leading flavours. 

From humble beginnings huddled around laptops in coffee shops, to now operating from PW Campus: our very own custom-built £10 million state-of-the-art facility, we’ve come a long way. 

Today, we design, manufacture, and ship our products across the globe and have sold over 430 million shakes… 

And counting.

Since our inception over 11 years ago, we’ve won our fair share of awards too. From being named ‘Start up Company of the Year’ way back in 2014, to one of our latest innovations ,“All In” A.I Greens, picking up a win at the Health & Wellbeing Awards in 2025. Not only that, we’ve also won awards for our protein shakes, complete meals, vegan range and even our creatine powders. At the time of writing this, we have over 50 awards to our name.
