Protein Pizza – it’s one of the easiest things you can make with your protein powder. It’s also one of the tastiest! And it’s great because it satisfies any and all pizza cravings, allowing you to stick to your healthy-eating diet without feeling at all deprived. What’s not to love about that, right?
Lets get into this super simple recipe:
Ingredients for the crust
1/8 cup pea protein powder
1/2 cup liquid egg whites
2 tbsp coconut flour
1/8 cup rolled oats (gluten free)
1-2 tsps water
Ingredients for the toppings
1/2 chicken breast (cooked)
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tomato (sliced)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp pepper
1/8 cup cheddar cheese
1. Blend all your crust ingredients together until you get a sort of ‘dough’ that you can shape with your hands.
2. Flatten this dough and fry it up on a nonstick pan. Pretend you’re making a thick savoury pancake here so (carefully) flip it when it has browned on one side.
3. Add your toppings, beginning always with tomato paste and ending with the cheese. This was topped with chicken, tomatoes, dried parsley, red chili, green chili, and pepper.
4. Finally, stick it under your grill or broiler at medium or high heat. What you’re doing here is melting your cheese and ‘fusing’ all the flavours together so keep an eye on the pizza and take it out when everything looks done (it takes about 8 minutes or so) and BANG! It’s ready.
