High Protein Chocolate Orange Brownies

What’s better than tucking into an entire chocolate orange? Adding it to a brownie batter, of course! So, what are you waiting for? Grab your apron and a whisk and get baking!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 75g unsalted butter
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 2 large eggs
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 1 orange, zested
  • 40g Pure Fine Oats
  • 20g Whey Protein (Choc Orange Swirl)
  • 20g cacao powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 100g chocolate orange, cut into chunks

METHOD:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees. Grease a square baking tin and line the base with baking powder
  2. Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a bowl over simmering water. Once melted, stir in the orange zest then set to one side to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mix together the oat flour, whey protein, cacao powder and baking powder. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar.
  4. Once the chocolate has cooled, stir in the eggs until well combined. Then add the flour mix and stir until smooth.
  5. Fold through the chocolate orange chunks then pour into your baking tin.
  6. Bake for around 30-35 minutes, until the top is crisp but you still want the middle to be a little gooey. Allow to fully cool before cutting into 9 squares
