Secrets To Achieving Your Goals?

Secrets To Achieving Your Goals?

There are no secrets to achieving the goals you have always wanted, no magic formula or secret workout. But there are a few tips that could help you out along the way….

1. Eat the dietary requirements that support your training & body composition needs

2. Train in the appropriate fashion and frequency to support your performance and body composition goals.

3. BE CONSISTENT for THE LONG TERM with all of the above.

4. Get adequate sleep, enjoyment, socialise and live a balanced lifestyle that allows for low amounts of stress and life enjoyment.

I am often asked what the secret to getting in great shape is. Is it this diet? This supplement? This workout programme? Well let me tell you the biggest single truth. Whether it’s to lose fat, gain muscle, improve health or anything else, there is NO secret. There is no magic formula, pill or exercise that is going to change you over-night or in the shortest amount of time. The people who get results and who transform their bodies are consistent! Consistency is key!

One healthy meal isn’t going to change your life, just like one day of eating too many calories isn’t going to turn you obese. It’s what you do consistently that produces the results you want and that changes your body, and your life for that matter. Working out once does not get you fit and eating a salad once does not make you thin. Carrying out positive actions towards your goal on a consistent, regular and frequent basis is what sets you on the road to success.

Don’t Expect To Be Perfect!

Nobody is perfect no matter what they tell you or post on social media. This is something I recently had to come to terms with while on holiday. I have my goals, and being a military man I like routine and knowing where I am going, but being on holiday broke up this routine. It is times like this when having support and being able to talk to my family and a good coach about my feelings, that keeps you sane and on track.

It is important to know there is more to life than training every day, and I’m sharing this with you because I want you to see that role models, fitness proffessionals and in shape individuals aren’t perfect and aren’t always shredded and smashing new PRs. Most of the time all you see on social media is people posting about their new records or progress, but they do not post about their failures or drawbacks. But it’s these failures which we learn from and ultimately become a stronger individual.

I’m not always perfect, but I strive to be consistent in the long run, and always be the best I can be, physically, mentally and socially.

There will be days when your training isn’t perfect and your nutrition isn’t spot on. The sooner you realise that this is OK, the sooner you will enjoy your health and fitness lifestyle as you won’t stress yourself out or worry when things don’t go to plan!

So, Bottom Line!
