Carb Extreme has been created based on sound scientific research surrounding carbohydrates and a process known as 'carbohydrate loading'. This is a nutritional strategy that's traditionally been used by endurance athletes and bodybuilders pre content as a way of maximising the storage of muscle glycogen. Bean et al, 2003 who in 'The Complete Guide to Sports Nutrition' states marathon runners need 5-7g of carbohydrate per kilogram of body weight or 60 per cent of your daily calorie intake from carbohydrates. This usually works out at around 1,500kcal from carbohydrate per day for most women and 1,800kcal for men or for a 75kg runner that works out at between 600g and 750g of carbohydrates per day.

Serving Size: 75g (Two large 70ml scoops
Add 75g (Two large 70ml scoops) to 300ml - 350ml of water to your TPW™ Master Blender. Then mix well and consume. Vary the amount of water to achieve your desired flavour and sweetness level.
We recommend for carb loading (based on an average male), two scoops (75g) mixed with 600ml - 700ml water. Intake should be 3-4 times daily, between meals . Adjust serving size to 1.5 scoops for carb loading for females, taking 3-4 times daily in between meals .
However it would be good if there was an unflavored version so i could add it to my post workout protein shake, the blend of Dextrose, Maltodextrin and Waxy Maize is great for kick-starting the growth phase and shuttling the protein and aminos and creatine into the workout with the insulin spike.
5/5 a great product which can be used to carb up on after depleting glycogen stores or to use post workout to spike insulin and drive nutrients into the muscle tissue ultimately resulting in more lean muscle mass.
